help families prepare for Kindergarten and to allow the
district to plan for the coming school year, our elementary
school hosts an annual spring Kindergarten registration
for incoming Kindergarten students. Kindergarten registration
sessions are scheduled for March 31st, April 1st, and April
4th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Parents will be notified
by mail with a time to come to the school. Parents will
be asked to bring: your child, your child’s birth
certificate, child’s immunization records, and two
proofs of residency.
Read
Across America brings Cat in the Hat to our School
On
March 3rd, PV Elementary students celebrated the 107th birthday
of Dr. Seuss. ROTC cadets, wearing “Cat in the Hat”
hats, read to our students in K, 1, and 2. The annual Read
Across America event focused on motivating children to read
and learn basic skills. This year, the goal of the event
was for every child to be in the company of a caring adult.
Thank you Major Markovich for all you do for our elementary
school. You truly make a difference.
The
Book Fair and Literacy Night
To encourage reading, to build classroom libraries and to
help raise funds to support our students, Panther Valley
PTO hosted a Scholastic Book Fair and Literacy Night on
March 8, from 5 pm to 8:00 pm in the gym for parents.
The Book Fair offered specially priced books and educational
products, including new releases, children’s classics,
interactive software, adult books, and current bestsellers.
